Under the online method, the traveler has to log into the website of the railway and go to the PNR status option and fill out the PNR number, which is a 10-digit number on the top right-hand side of the ticket.

On clicking the ‘Get status’ tab, the website gives you the updated position of your ticket with the train name and number, coach number, current seat or berth number, timing and major stations the train passes by. The railway keeps the reservation list open until twenty four hours before the departure of the train. Passengers whose tickets are listed in RAC or WL have every chance of getting the tickets confirmed.
